CLARISSA M. ANDERSON

Clarissa Anderson is the Manager of Course Development at OU Education Services, a not-for-profit organization that partners with the University of Oklahoma. She leads a team that reviews online courses for quality assurance, conducts course and program benchmarking research, and creates storyboards for course overview videos, among other projects. She serves as Co-chair of the Accessibility Subcommittee in Oklahoma's Council of Online Learning Excellence (COLE). Clarissa received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism New Media from Baylor University and a Master of Science in Learning Design and Technology from George Mason University. Her professional passions include accessibility, usability, and online literacy.

  • June 2025: Received 2025 Oklahoma Online Learning Excellence Award in Accessibility​ at Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSHRE) meeting

  • June 2025: Co-presented at regional Instructional Design Network (IDN) Meetup at Southern Methodist University (SMU); "Beyond Comparison: A Research-Informed Approach to Academic Excellence"

  • May–June 2025: Reviewed conference proposals for the 2025 EDUCAUSE Conference and 2025 OLC Accelerate Conference

  • April 2025: Voted in as Co-chair of the Accessibility subcommittee on Oklahoma's Council for Online Learning Excellence (COLE)

  • March 2025: Certified Instructional Design Professional (IDP) by the Online Learning Consortium (OLC)
